GUEST SPEAKER:      Former Toronto Maple Leaf Captain – WENDEL CLARK

Wendel Clark is indisputably one of the most popular players to ever wear Maple Leafs blue. The former Leafs captain played 13 of his 15 NHL seasons with Toronto and was idolized by thousands of hockey fans. Selected first overall in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft by the Leafs, Clark also spent time playing for the Quebec Nordiques, New York Islanders, Tampa Bay Lighting, Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks. One of Clark’s biggest accomplishments however was in his teen years when he helped Canada’s national team take the gold medal at the 1985 World Junior Hockey Championships. He will engage our audience about motivation, leadership and teamwork.

The “Gangway” cash bar, located in “The Ontario Room” will be open from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Members and Guests are to be seated in the Canadian Room by 6:45 p.m. to receive Head Table Guests, the Silver Oar of the Admiralty and the Service Ensigns.

The Fairmont Royal York Hotel has established a special room rate for Marine Club members and guests wishing to stay at the hotel. The cost is $205.00 per night, single or double occupancy. Note that all elevators in the Fairmont Royal York Hotel now require a room key to operate, this will include obtaining access to the hospitality suites, please ensure you bring your room key with you.


A ticket order form is enclosed. All tables are set for ten (10) people. All ticket requests must include a ticket order form and a cheque made payable to “The Marine Club”.

Tickets ordered and paid for prior to December 21, 2018 will be $170.00 each. After that date a $10.00 surcharge will apply.

Members are encouraged to submit their ticket requests prior to December 21, 2018 as the table(s) will be assigned immediately thereafter. Tickets and table assignments after December 21st will be subject to remaining availability.

Requests for tickets will not be accepted by telephone and tickets are not available at the door. Ticket refunds will not be granted after December 28, 2018.

PLEASE NOTE:   The Marine Club will no longer be mailing out paper tickets for the Annual Dinner. Table assignments will be communicated by email and as such, an email address for all ticket purchases is required. Table assignments will also be posted at the entrance to the Canadian Room.

Wine orders and Hotel reservations are to be made directly with the Fairmont Royal York Hotel.
