GUEST SPEAKER:Michael “Pinball” Clemons

Canadian Football Hall-of-Famer | General Manager, CFL’s Toronto Argonauts

Few people exemplify the qualities of personal excellence, teamwork, community leadership, and overcoming the odds better than CFL legend Michael “Pinball” Clemons. With boundless energy, Clemons’ talks centre on the potential for each of us to achieve anything we set our minds to. Unabashedly emotional and impactful, he shows audiences how to put heart into everything they do.

Clemons joined the National Football League in 1987, and CFL’s Toronto Argonauts in 1989. He was nicknamed “Pinball” because of his running style — his diminutive size and extraordinary balance allowed him to “bounce” between defensive players, drawing comparisons to a pinball machine.

The “Gangway” cash bar, located in “The Ontario Room” will be open from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Members and Guests are to be seated in the Canadian Room by 6:45 p.m. to receive Head Table Guests, the Silver Oar of the Admiralty, and the Service Ensigns.

Hotel reservations are to be made directly with the Fairmont Royal York Hotel.

The Fairmont Royal York Hotel has established a special room rate for Marine Club members and guests wishing to stay at the hotel. The cost of rooms start at $275.00 per night, single or double occupancy with limited availability. Note that all elevators in the Fairmont Royal York Hotel now require a room key to operate, this will include obtaining access to the hospitality suites. Please ensure you bring your room key with you.

To our Corporate members, please note the following when purchasing your Annual Dinner tickets. Included with your membership are the following:

Members are encouraged to submit their ticket requests prior to December 19, 2025, as the table(s) will be assigned immediately thereafter. Tickets and table assignments after December 19 will be subject to remaining availability.
Requests for tickets will not be accepted by telephone and tickets are not available at the door. Ticket refunds will not be granted after December 19, 2025.

Notice to Members: Nomination committee report for 2026-2027 will be distributed in late November.
The Marine Club will no longer be mailing out paper tickets for the Annual Dinner. Table assignments will be communicated by email and as such, an email address for all ticket purchases is required. Table assignments will also be posted at the entrance to the Canadian Room.

The Marine Club and the Fairmont Royal York Hotel will follow all current provincial and municipal public health guidelines.

Wine orders

All wine orders must be purchased directly through The Marine Club events page.

Wine orders can be purchased separately, at any time, through the Marine Club website. The Royal York Hotel will NOT be managing any wine pre-orders.
