Mr. Pelletier began working for CCG in 1989, after graduating with a bachelor’s in nautical sciences from Cape BretonUniversity (Canadian Coast Guard College) and obtaining aMarine Engineer’s certificate.
He started his career as an engineer officer in the Quebec Region. In 1998, he joined headquarters, where he held positions with increasing responsibilities. In 2011, Mr.
Pelletier was appointed Director General, Fleet. He held that position until the new organizational structure of the Canadian Coast Guard took effect on October 1, 2012 when he became the Assistant Commissioner, Central and Arctic Region.
On June 1, 2015, Mr. Pelletier was appointed the Deputy Commissioner of Operations. He received a Commissioner’s Commendation in recognition of his strong leadership, commitment and the high level of expertise and professionalism.
Mr. Pelletier was appointed Commissioner of the Canadian Coast Guard on December 9, 2019. Mr. Pelletier comes to his new role with vast experience and a well-established reputation for meeting challenges and obtaining desired results.
The “Gangway” cash bar, located in “The Ontario Room” will be open from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Members and Guests are to be seated in the Canadian Room by 6:45 p.m. to receive Head Table Guests, the Silver Oar of the Admiralty and the Service Ensigns.

The Fairmont Royal York Hotel has established a special room rate for Marine Club members and guests wishing to stay at the hotel. The cost is $210.00 per night, single or double occupancy. Note that all elevators in the Fairmont Royal York Hotel now require a room key to operate, this will include obtaining access to the hospitality suites, please ensure you bring your room key with you.
All tables are set for ten (10) people. All ticket requests must include a ticket order form and a cheque made payable to “The Marine Club”.

Members are encouraged to submit their ticket requests prior to December 21, 2019 as the table(s) will be assigned immediately thereafter. Tickets and table assignments after December 21st will be subject to remaining availability.
Requests for tickets will not be accepted by telephone and tickets are not available at the door. Ticket refunds will not be granted after December 28, 2019.
Notice to Members: Nomination committee report for 2020-2021 will be distributed in late October.
PLEASE NOTE: The Marine Club will no longer be mailing out paper tickets for the Annual Dinner. Table assignments will be communicated by email and as such, an email address for all ticket purchases is required. Table assignments will also be posted at the entrance to the Canadian Room.
